Race Entries & Family Passes for the Orbital Cycling Festival are now LIVE!
The organisers of the Orbital Cycling Festival are pleased to announce that general entry passes and race entries are now live and available from the Orbital website. An Early Bird discount of 10% is available until 31st March 2013. Further discounts will be offered to British Cycling, CTC and Sustrans members. All races have been designed specifically around the Goodwood Motor Circuit venue and have been given names like Tutti Frutti (scratch race), X+1 (road race), Dirty Critter (cross race) and Tactician (eliminator race).
Entry & Camping
The Orbital Cycling Festival has been designed to offer something for everyone – family rides, road, track and offroad races, kids workshops, Go-Ride training, bike demo track, demonstrations and much more to be announced in the run up to the event on 26th to 28th July 2013. General entry passes are available for Friday, Saturday or Sunday and for the whole weekend. The festival will include camping on the site used by the Goodwood Festival of Speed and with up to 680 pitches, 3000 people can be accommodated under canvas, in campers or in caravans.Â Families are a major focus for the event and entry for all under 13′s (on 1st Jan 2013) is completely FREE. Discounted family tickets for 2 Adults & 2 Youths (13 to 17) are available for each of the 3 days and for the weekend. The current price list is AVAILABLE HERE
Charity Partners & Family Rides
Two of the charity partners at the Orbital Cycling Festival are the Sustrans and CTC. Sustrans will host their own free to enter Family Ride on Saturday following the very popular ‘Bling Your Bike’ competition for kids – fancy dress for your bike. The CTC will host their own mass participation Family Ride on Sunday lunchtime. Donations are encouraged for both rides.
In keeping with the policy of Â ’cycling only’ charity partners, Orbital Cycling Festival will be working to raise valuable funds for:

Racing & Workshops
The current racing schedule offers numerous safe, closed road and track opportunities for all riders from 13 upwards – Youth A & B, Women & Men. There’s an offroad cross race around theÂ perimeterÂ track and lots of options on the safe, traffic free circuit from 20km time trial to fixed gear crit and flying lap. A full list of the current race programme can be found on THIS PAGEÂ For the under 13′s we’ll be offering Go-Ride races on the Goodwood go-kart track, right next to the Paddock Expo, in the heart of the action. A number of skills workshops hosted by pro riders will be available all weekend for trials, BMX and pump track training.
Expo, Attractions & Coffee
At the heart of the Orbital Cycling Festival will be the Paddock Expo which will host a huge range of cycling-centric exhibitors and showing off the latest bikes, accessories and apparel to try and buy. Many bikes will be available for test rides throughout the weekend. There will be on site cash machines provided by Thomas Cook and wi-fi will be available for exhibitors to process card payments efficiently. Secure bike parking will be provided in the Paddock Expo.
The super slick Animal Action Sport Tour will at Orbital all weekend creating a buzz in the Paddock Expo and complemented by Matti Hemmings performing his latest flatland BMX moves. High quality coffee and cake will be delivered by Look Mum No Hands and other caterers have been hand-picked to offer high quality artisan food products. More attractions that will feature at the Orbital Cyling Festival will be announced continuously right up to the event.
